Special events

Tav Café - a wandering courtyard for an inter-disciplinary experience and a café, run by the Tav Group

The Tav Group invites the audience to an inter-disciplinary experience in their wandering courtyard located in the center of the Festival grounds.

Artists and artisans work in the courtyard as a team, offering guests their best goods, fulfilling all the needs of the body and the soul. Next to a cup of coffee or a class of wine, a slice of bread with honey or cheese, they offer Post Office service between tables, dancing shadows, story telling and song, a gypsy tune, personal counseling - everything is on the menu on your table.

The courtyard is built with a system of scaffolding and galleries, inside and outside - the upper floors of the galleries serve as stages for the performances - dance, music and theater.  The lower floor serves as a bar and seating for the audience.

In the center of the courtyard is a multi purpose stage and around it tables and chairs for eating and observing.  A trapeze and rope for the acrobats hang from the construction.

The “White House” Returns to the Neighborhood

The compound chosen as the exhibit space of the workshops and the artistic works is similar to an environments familiar to all of us, big and small - the neighborhood. Designing  the exhibit space as a neighborhood  creates a fascinating connection between art and everyday life, and a connection between creativity and the general public.

The Students Union of Bezalel Academy of Art and Design is proud to return and take part in the International Arts and Crafts Festival, in order to encourage and support young artists  in Jerusalem, and they in turn work to promote culture and art in the city..
